The Invictus Games Foundation announces the appointment of two new Trustees, Nana Fifield and the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, strengthening the Board with additional global expertise across technology, governance, sport and disability inclusion.

Nana Fifield is a technology executive, author and board trustee with a strong track record of leading large-scale, customer-focused transformation in complex global organisations. She currently serves as a Director of Technology at Amazon PrimeVideo, where she works with international teams to deliver highly scalable and resilient digital platforms to serve entertainment to customers worldwide.

She is particularly motivated by organisations that support health, recovery and long-term wellbeing. As a Trustee, Nana brings strategic leadership, commercial awareness and a global perspective, alongside a strong commitment to ensuring charities are well positioned to deliver meaningful, lasting impact for the communities they serve.

Joining her on the Board is the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, a globally recognised leader in disability rights, sport and public policy. A former Canadian Cabinet Minister, Carla brings extensive experience of leading large government departments, delivering complex national programmes and driving systemic reform. She has represented Canada at major international forums including the United Nations, G7 and G20, and has played a pivotal role in advancing accessibility and inclusion through landmark legislation and national strategies.

Carla also brings deep connections to the international sport system, including her involvement in supporting Canada’s hosting of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, alongside her previous leadership roles as President of the Canadian Paralympic Committee and across multiple sport governance bodies. Her experience spans athlete representation as a Paralympian, major event delivery and legacy planning, aligning closely with the Foundation’s mission to support the recovery and rehabilitation of international wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans through sport.

These appointments come as Melanie Richards steps down from the IGF Board after completing her term as Trustee. During her tenure, Melanie has made a significant contribution to the Foundation, providing strategic insight, strong governance oversight and steadfast support for its mission.

Lord Allen, Chair of the Invictus Games Foundation, said: “I would like to thank Melanie for her outstanding contribution and commitment to the Invictus Games Foundation. We are also delighted to welcome Nana and Carla, whose combined expertise and passion for impact will be invaluable as we continue to grow and support our international community.”

The Invictus Games Foundation looks forward to working with Nana Fifield and Carla Qualtrough as it continues to deliver our mission of supporting recovery through sport and building a global community of support for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans.
