Vancouver Whistler 2025

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 were held from February 8-16 and featured 534 Invictus Games competitors – wounded, injured and sick serving members and Veterans from 23 Nations, who showcased their resilience, determination and camaraderie through 11 adaptive sport competitions in Vancouver and Whistler in a celebration of strength, recovery and inclusion.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 was the first Games to feature winter sports and were held on the traditional territories of the x ʷ məθ kʷə y əm (Musqueam), S ḵwxw ú7mesh (Squamish), St ó:lō and S ə l ílw ətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Skalulmecw L íl wat ̓ Nation and the G élpcal L ílwat Nation. These Games worked closely with the Four Host First Nations to ensure they responded to Canada’s Truth & Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, and ensured Indigenous protocols were respected in all aspects of the Games.

It was back to Canada for the seventh Invictus Games and the historic debut of winter sports with the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.

This was the first Invictus Games to be held across two sites with the city of Vancouver hosting 6 adaptive sports and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the winter sports resort of Whistler introducing 5 winter sports to the Invictus Games Community.

In total, 23 Nations and 534 competitors came to this Games and the Opening Ceremony set the record for the highest attendance ever at an Invictus Games with 40,000.
