The Invictus Games Foundation has been selected by the American Music Awards as one of the veteran organisations to be highlighted through it “AMAs Salute” initiative at the 52nd American Music Awards, as the iconic awards show expands its focus on veterans and military families ahead of this year’s Memorial Day broadcast.
The partnership places the Invictus Games Foundation alongside a number of veteran and military support organisations participating in the American Music Awards campaign, which was launched to honour service members, veterans and their families through storytelling, fundraising and tribute segments during the annual awards show.
The initiative will also encourage viewers to donate in support of the Foundation’s work leading the recovery of international wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans through sport recovery programmes delivered in the United States and around the world. If you would like to support the work of the Invictus Games Foundation, you can donate to support our work here and if you are based in the United States, you can donate here.
The AMAs shifted towards a Memorial Day format in 2025, introducing dedicated veteran-focused programming in collaboration with military charities and nonprofit organisations.
"This Memorial Day, the American Music Awards is proud to spotlight our nation’s heroes and help amplify the vital work being done in support of the veteran community, honoring the enduring spirit of service in partnership with leading Military and Veterans Service Organizations – Blue Star Families, Bob Woodruff Foundation, Congressional Medal of Honor Society, Easy Day Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Gary Sinise Foundation, Invictus Games Foundation, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Semper Fi & America’s Fund, Team Rubicon, and the USO," a spokesperson for the American Music Awards said.
For the Invictus Games Foundation, the collaboration represents another step in its broader expansion beyond the Games themselves, as we continue to grow our year-round recovery and community programmes for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans around the world.
“The Invictus Community demonstrates every day the power of connection, recovery and purpose through sport, and we are proud to join the American Music Awards in recognising and celebrating the resilience of the Armed Forces community during Memorial Day," said Helen D'Oyley, Chief Growth Officer at the Invictus Games Foundation.
"At the Invictus Games Foundation, we know that the more conversations we create around veteran recovery and wellbeing, the more opportunities there are to reach and support those who need it the most,” Helen said.
